Choosing the Right Phone Number for WhatsApp with WePOS

Selecting the appropriate phone number for your WhatsApp Business account is crucial to ensure seamless functionality. Here’s a guide to help you choose the best number:

Requirements for the Phone Number

  1. Validity
    • The number must be valid and include the correct country and area code.
    • It should be capable of receiving calls or SMS for account verification.
  2. Exclusivity
    • The number you register with WePOS must not be active on any other WhatsApp application (Personal or Business).
    • If currently in use, you’ll need to delete the existing WhatsApp account associated with that number.

Eligible Types of Phone Numbers

  1. Landline Numbers
    • Ensure the number can receive voice OTPs for verification.
  2. Cell Phone Numbers
    • Mobile numbers can be used, provided they have not been associated with any WhatsApp account in the past 6 months.
  3. Toll-Free (1-800) Numbers
      • Toll-free numbers are eligible if they can receive SMS or voice calls directly.

Note: Numbers behind IVR systems are not supported.
