How to Appeal Policy Violations on WhatsApp Business

If your business believes it complies with WhatsApp Commerce Policies but receives a violation notice, you can appeal the decision by requesting a review. During the appeal process, the WhatsApp team will reevaluate the case and decide if the violation should be reversed.

Steps to Request a Decision Review
  1. Access Your WhatsApp Business Account
    • Go to the Business Support Home Page and select your relevant WhatsApp Business Account.
  2. Identify the Violation
    • From the list of violations, locate the one you wish to appeal and click Request Review.
  3. Submit Supporting Details
    • A dialog box will open in Business Manager. Provide any supporting information or evidence and click Submit.
  4. Track Your Appeal
    • After submission, your request will move to the In Review tab for processing.
  5. Review Decision
    • The WhatsApp team typically reviews appeals within 24 to 48 hours.
    • The outcome will be communicated through Business Manager and can result in either:
      • Unchanged: The violation remains valid.
      • Reversed: The violation is dismissed.
