Meta is integrating its core apps—Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram—to create a seamless platform for businesses. Connecting your WhatsApp Business phone number to your Facebook or Instagram page lets you interact with customers more effectively. With this setup, you can add a Send Message button to your Facebook page or Instagram profile and create ads that allow customers to initiate conversations directly on WhatsApp.

Getting Started
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- A Meta Business Manager account.
- A WhatsApp Business Account connected to your WePOS setup.
A Facebook Page or Instagram account linked to the same Business Manager as your WePOS account.
How to Connect Your WhatsApp Number to a Facebook Page
- Navigate to Your Facebook Page
- Log in to your Facebook account and open your business page.
- Access Settings
- Click Settings and then select Linked Accounts under the Permissions tab.
- Link Your WhatsApp Number
- Click the View button next to WhatsApp.
- Choose your country code and enter your WhatsApp Business phone number.
- Click Send WhatsApp Code to verify the connection.
Note: If the Facebook Page and WhatsApp account are already under the same Business Manager account, no code will be sent. Refresh the page to confirm the connection.
- Add a Button to Your Page
- Once connected, add a Send Messagebutton to your Facebook page to enable direct WhatsApp conversations with customers.
How to Connect Your WhatsApp Number to an Instagram Page
- Edit Your Profile
- Go to your Instagram profile and tap Edit Profile.
- Access Contact Options
- Under Public Business Information, select Contact Options and then WhatsApp Business phone number.
- Add or Select a Number
- Choose an existing WhatsApp number or add a new one. You can also create a new WhatsApp account during this step.
- Verify the Number
- Tap Send Confirmation Code to verify. If the Instagram account and WhatsApp number are under the same Business Manager account, the connection will happen automatically.
- Display WhatsApp on Your Profile
- Once connected, your WhatsApp number will appear as a contact option on your Instagram profile.
Removing WhatsApp from Instagram
If needed, you can remove WhatsApp by:
- Returning to Edit Profile.
- Selecting Contact Options.
Tapping your WhatsApp Business phone number and choosing Remove WhatsApp.
