Connection Statuses Explained
- Connected
- What It Means: Your number is fully functional and operating normally. You can send and receive messages without any issues.
- Action Needed: None. Your account is in good standing.
- Flagged
- What It Means:
- This occurs when the quality rating of your number falls to a low level.
- While flagged, your business cannot upgrade messaging limit tiers.
- If your quality rating improves to medium or high within 7 days, the status will return to Connected without changes to your messaging limit.
- If the quality does not improve, the status will still return to Connected, but with a reduced messaging limit tier.
- Action Needed:
- Review your messaging practices to comply with WhatsApp’s quality guidelines.
- Ensure your messages are relevant, personalized, and compliant with WhatsApp’s Business Policies.
- Restricted
- What It Means:
- Your number has exceeded its messaging limit.
- While restricted, you cannot send notification messages until the 24-hour limit resets.
- You can still respond to messages initiated by customers.
- Action Needed:
- Wait for the 24-hour period to reset before sending additional messages.
- Monitor your messaging usage to avoid exceeding limits in the future.
- Pending
- What It Means:
- Your number is in the process of being connected.
- It is not yet active and cannot send or receive messages.
- Action Needed:
- Verify the setup process and ensure all required steps are completed.

- What It Means:
- Your number is disconnected and cannot send or receive messages.
- Action Needed:
